Don't know how many of you read Dave Eggers' first book "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius," but he's got a fiction work out now...a novel called "You Shall Know Our Velocity." anyone who loved his first book should check this out. plus...there is a lot in there that specifically relates to "Slow Down Kid."

Whereas in SDK, the thoughts/life/everything is moving so fast you try to chill out and slow it down, the characters in YSKOV attempt to sidestep the craziness in their heads by constantly moving faster...as fast as they can...so that they can never be left alone with their minds...to think..to overthink..to freak out. escapism if you will. but in the end both Eggers novel and my CD are about attempts to deal with the crazy thoughts in your head, the pressures in your life, the speed of the world...it's the solutions to those problems that are different.
