yesterday i ventured into the pigeon club in hoboken to demo some new songs. just me and an acoustic. live. 3 songs..."teach me", "new year's resolution", and "like a clam hidden in the sand."

tomorrow, eric, anthony, austin and i are heading back in to record 4 more songs. all live. full band. no overdubs. "from afar", "all the pretty girls", "my first time, your last time", and "sunny days."

these are just demos but you never know how they are going to turn out. maybe one will be keepable. anyway, recording is my favorite. just because the songs are actually becoming tangible. something you can listen to infinitely. usually if i don't record something quick, i forget about it or get bored with it and it is never used. so i'm happy to get these down. it's an affirmation that they once existed.

i'm thinking that i might sample one or two of the new songs on the radio player in the coming weeks to get some feedback. i'll keep you posted.
